Do follow blogs and forums are an easy way to get links to your website. Simply find a do follow blog or forum, sign up, make a comment, and you have an instant link back to your site. The hardest problem I ran into when trying to use do follow blogs and forums for my link building campaigns was finding them. If you use this method enough, eventually your efforts will pay off with a higher pagerank for your website. Some of my favorite websites to use are warriorforum, digitalpoint, and sitepoint. However, keep a few points in mind:
1. Make sure the do follow blog or forum you are posting to has a high pagerank.
The more pagerank the blog or forum has, the more that will be passed on to your website.
2. The Blog or forum should be an active one
The more active the blog or forum, the more google will visit the site and index the pages.
3. Only post to blogs and forums related to your website
You will get more authority from posting in a car forum if your website is about cars than posting on a blog about cooking.
4. Don’t Spam
The quickest way to lose your links and get banned from a website is to spam for links. I delete several comments a day that are just pure spam and lend nothing to the conversation. If I write a post about link building, does it make sense that someone leaves a comment relating to buying a new air conditioner?
5. Remember, this is not the end all be all of link building, just another tool to help you along the way.
6. Don’t rely solely on forum-posting for link-building

I have been and am still using a search query tool which gives you a list of blogs(do follow) with the keywords that you enter.But the resultant blogs are a mixture of both do follow and no follow one.
I tried your method also and found it helpful,but found both do follow and no follow blogs in them.
Anyways,i will be using both these tools to get quality backlinks.
